1st Time Visitors' Info
It is our desire to create an engaging, irresistible environment for your preschooler. Here are some policies and procedures we have put in place to help ensure your child's safety and care.
Out of Harm's Way
All entrances to Waumba Land are monitored before, during and after each service. You and your child will each receive a corresponding, numbered security tag. You must present your portion of the tag when picking up your child....no exceptions.
All of our volunteers are carefully trained and screened to ensure the safest environment possible.
Drop Off & Pick Up
Children are accepted into the classroom 20 minutes prior to service and must be signed in by their parent or guardian. Children should be picked up immediately following the service unless paged beforehand.
Good Health
Children are not accepted who show signs or symptoms of fever or any other contagious disease.
Enrollment
It is imperative that a guest registration form be filled out for each child visiting Waumba Land. Our host team will greet you and help you with the enrollment process. If you would like to make the process go more quickly, you can download the form here, fill it out and bring it with you. » Download a Registration Form.
Special Needs
If your child has special needs, please speak with a Waumba Land staff member so that we can determine the best way to serve your child.
Tips & Reminders
Please label all of your children's belongings.
We discourage parents from allowing their children to bring their own toys into class with them, as it is easy for them to be misplaced or forgotten.
Special Parking for Parents
Parking spaces for families with children spaces are available close to the 130 Foundry Street building. To access this parking please look for the Waumba Land Parking sign on Foundry Street. Keep driving past the parking deck away from Broad Street to see the sign.
